Renewable Energy India Expo 2018 provided the ultimate business solutions for the meetings and events industry, uniting an elite class of buyers from India and around the world. This event was an excellent opportunity for Green Energy Innovative Biomass Cluster to keep up with the latest trends in the renewable energy industry by gaining access to the technical seminar and roundtable discussions with EU and Indian experts and companies.

On 17-21 September 2018 has been organized the India - EU Clean Energy Days & International Matchmaking by Business Beyond Borders (BBB) together with European Business & Technology Centre (EBTC) and supported by European Commission. The event was free of charge and it was featured in the Renewable Energy India 2018 Expo, the international exhibition for renewable energy. This event was a great opportunity to gain information about the latest developments on the EU-India relations in the key area of clean technologies and to take the active part in the discussions with high-level speakers in the sector.
The event included case studies by EU SMEs in the Renewable Energy Space, technical sessions on solar power, offshore wind, energy efficiency in buildings and matchmaking sessions with exhibitors and visitors of the Renewable Energy India 2018 Expo.
On Monday, 17 September 2018 was held Ease on doing business in India workshop + Case studies by EU Businesses in the renewable energy sector and welcome dinner.
Tuesday, 18 September 2018 was organized B2B Matchmaking at the European Pavilion at the Renewable Energy India 2018 Expo.
Wednesday, 19 September 2018, on India - EU Clean Energy Day has included sessions on the solar power in India, offshore wind and energy efficiency in buildings. B2B Matchmaking Sessions was held in parallel at the European Pavilion.
Thursday, 20 September 2018: a High-level meeting was held at Ministry of New and Renewable Energy at Government of India, The main discussion was on solar energy implementation projects, off-shore wind energy tenders in India.
The event on September 21, 2018: ensured the presence of stakeholders in the space of clean energy and climate change from EU and Indian business and institutional part. At the conference, the best practices were discussed and panel discussion was held on the challenges and potential opportunities that could be created for clean energy and climate action under the EU-India Policy dialogues. The Conference was a specific opportunity to draw the conclusion about the last week activities and outcomes between the EU and Indian matchmaking. The latest developments on the EU-India relations was highlighted by Tomasz Kozlowski, Ambassador of the European Union to India, shares an inspiring message for EU investors in the Indian renewable energy sector. In the same time, the clusters from EU presented shortly the outcomes of the B2B meetings.

1. Biotech Power Pvt. Itd., having mail address info@gbp.ooo. The company is looking for a CNG / Compressed Natural Gaz production facilities from EU countries, preferring German companies. They want to produce CNG for transportation because they use CNG for cars. Green Energy Biomass is going to find the right expert to provide technical assistance for the Greenfields representative of Sarna Singh Gagandeep1. Green Energy Cluster met with prefeasibility study cost analysis of the implementation of the project.
2. Green Energy agreed with an of farmers in a remote area of India to provide them with technical assistance and cost analysis on biogas production for power generation facility and how they can organize the local biomass value chain.
3. Green Energy agreed with North Eastern India/ASEAN Chamber of Commerce and Industry that they would come to Romania for a study tour to see the implementation projects on biomass fields and they are looking for international grants and tenders possibilities for sustainable rural development projects.
4. DRS Energy Pvt Ltd: They are seeking for water treatment technology for small buildings, households, and farms. Green Energy cluster has several companies which can provide water treatment equipment for the Indian stakeholders.
5. J.D Engineering Works:They are producing motors for wind turbines, they are the first and the only company who produce this kind of engines, which is using a special magnet inside, from Germany, Poland, Hungary, Serbia SMEs Partnership which contains more than 450 Cosmenrg4i engines as well, while Green Energy will provide detailed information about this innovative solution for the BLDCThey offer and Romania.
6. Glean Energy Ltd: They are looking for technology and facility to solve the organic waste problem in Indian rural area and to produce power out of animal by-products. The Green Energy cluster can provide expertise from one of member companies for Glean Energy in biomass to the energy field.
7. An innovative technology is provided by Kalinga Commercial Corporation Limited, namely the company manufactures drilling machines for wells using PV power. They asking the Green Energy to obtain information about needs for that kind of drilling machines in Serbia and the whole Cosmenerg4i Partnership countries.
8. At the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, Government of India, on 20th September: Green Energy along other EU clusters had 20th8. At the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, Government of India, on an official visit. Mr. Bhanu Pratap Yadav welcome us and gave us a short presentation about the actual situation in the RE sector. India planning the following investment in RE field: 227 GW PV capacity by 2022, 175 GW on-shore and off-shore wind energy grid, 10 GW micro-hydro and 10 GW biomass installation.
According to the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, the tenders are open, but the following requirements have to be taking into account:
- The applicant company has to own local factory, assembly or other industrial activity in the given sector in India;
- International certificates and references are needed;
- The local representative of the given company;
- Regardless of the political changes, the implementation action plan is written and now the phase of the technical process is on-going;
