COSMENERG-4i 'Global Clusters for Renewable Energy and Environmental Technologies' is the biggest cluster partnership in the field of renewable energy and environmental technologies originating in Central and Eastern Europe. It has currently around 450 members, including large companies, SMEs, research institutions, universities and public authorities.

COSMENERG-4i has been granted the European Strategic Cluster Partnership Going International (ESCP-4i) Label by the European Commission in February 2018.

COSMENERG-4i 'Global Clusters for Renewable Energy and Environmental Technologies' is committed to foster international networking and collaboration and to actively engage in globally competitive value chain development in the emerging industries of eco-, bio-energy, renewable energy and environmental technologies to enhance the technological transfer from environmentally destructive business processes to a green economy at European level and beyond, with a view to support growth, jobs and investment in Europe and worldwide.

COSMENERG-4i Business Development Services supports members to target and win EU and international projects and to gain market access to third countries. For this, we provide technical assistance, facilitate networking and contacts with key people and stakeholders and support members in acquiring new business development opportunities.




Archenerg Cluster was established in 2007 and has a total number of 80 members, including three large companies, 74 SMEs, and academic institutions. Archenerg Cluster aims to raise public awareness on renewable energy and energy efficiency and offers services to its members such as project generation and management, training, lecturers and curriculum design, cluster marketing, searching for financial solutions, tender watch, and partner search, to name a few. Archernerg Cluster thematic areas are planning, implementing and permitting investments linked to energy efficiency and renewable energy such as geothermal energy, thermal energy, solar collectors, solar heating, heating pump and biogas systems, biomass furnaces, construction related products and services, electric works, insulation, doors and windows, energy efficient lighting systems, feasibility studies, return calculations, energy audit and recommendations on energy consumption improvement. Archenerg's aim is to further develop  by integrating the inquiries and requests from external partners and improving the relations between Archener's members, thanks to new business partnerships and joint projects to internationalize.



Green Energy Innovative Biomass Cluster  was founded in 2011 with the main purpose of developing the bio-energy sector in Romania and raising the interest towards the production and utilization of the biomass with a special focus on the rural areas. The cluster's main vision is to contribute to the shaping of a sustainable economy and a society that live in harmony with nature and use clean energy and uphold sustainable management of forests and agriculture. Green Energy Biomass Cluster The cluster ensures the frame to develop innovative solutions in the field of biomass by putting emphasis on the environmental, social and economic benefits.

Green Energy Innovative Biomass Cluster has 75 members and provides the frame for cooperation between businesses, research organizations, universities, and public administration. Businesses are mainly represented by the solid biofuel producers (energy willow, agricultural, forestry, wooden residue harvesting, and processing), biomass-based heating system manufacturers, biomass system installers, ESCO-s and energy consultants. Green Energy Innovative Biomass Cluster's main pillars are the business development and value chain development, research and innovation, education and training, enhanced marketing and communication and internationalization.



Netzwerk Energie & Umwelt e.V. - NEU e.V. was founded in Leipzig in 2011 and offers high value, service and competitive advantage to its members. NEU e.V has around 80 members, including large corporations, SMEs, research and educational institutions, public administration, unions, and dedicated individuals. The members are organised under seven different cluster teams with a different focus areas, namely, bio-energy, e-mobility, energy efficiency, water treatment, solar, trading, and education. NEU e.V. connects the entrepreneurial landscape and individual competencies with financial resources and innovative ideas with the goal of creating lasting partnerships that work towards an environmentally sustainable and prosperous Leipzig and its greater region. NEU e.V. enables its members to jointly and cooperatively develop ideas, realize projects and improve existing business models. NEU e.V.’s specific goals are to encourage the dialogue between potential partners, to market the Greater Leipzig region and business sector, to coordinate technology and knowledge transfer, to foster advanced training and educational opportunities in the field, to improve the sector’s general business and political framework, and to promote national and international cooperation.



Baltic Eco-Energy Cluster (BEEC) is a common initiative of the PAS Institute of Fluid-Flow Machinery, University of Warmia and Mazury, Gdansk University of Technology, Koszalin University of Technology, Marshals and Self-Governments of the Pomorskie and Warmińsko-Mazurskie Voivodeships, as well as the economic units and associations having their seats in those voivodeships. Geographically, BEEC's activity covers the area of Northern Poland from Koszalin through Pomorskie Voivodeship to eastern confines of Warmińsko-Mazurskie Voivodeship. The Baltic Eco-Energy Cluster has 174 members, including large companies, SMEs, research organisations, technology centers, and universities. The cluster provides high-level services to its members, including access to public support (i.e. regional, national, EU programmes), access to technology services, facilitation and collaboration between members, and internationalisation, to name a few.



Ecopanonia was established in 2011 in Novi Sad in Serbia and focuses on environment, renewable energy, economy and energy efficiency. Ecopanonia has around 40 members, including private sector companies, research institutions, government institutions and non-governmental organisations. Ecopanonia's mission is to raise environmental awareness among the population and to create a common future for companies from the same branch of activity. Internationalization is more and more in the focus of Ecopanonia's activities. Ecopanonia's specific aim is to implement new technologies and to create stable value chains within cluster members such as developing new cross-sectoral and transnational products and services.
